When I lost my husband nine years ago, I thought my life had ended as well. We were childhood sweethearts, best friends, and had been together 44 years. Within a month of Noel's passing, I began getting what I felt were messages, and they took various forms. I started a journal and a year later I decided to write a memoir tentatively entitled A Breath Away: One Widow's Spiritual Journey. While I am much farther out in the grieving process than when I began my book (one's perspective changes), I still want to publish what I believe is a positive message to those who have lost their spouse and best friend. The publishing process seems daunting, but I am convinced after reading about Linda Joy Myers that I am going to recommit myself with more of the passion I had initially. I used to laugh and say that early morning hours spent at the computer were cheaper and more cathartic than a $300 an hour couch session. You have just provided me with the "fanny boot" that I needed.
